Visiting Instructor Of Business
The Department of Business Administration is accepting applications for its Visiting Instructor of Business (Management or Economics) position.
Examples Of Duties- Teach undergraduate courses in economics or management, including principles of microeconomics, principles of macroeconomics, principles of management, and selected upper-division offerings in the assigned field.
- Deliver instruction across assigned modalities, including a required ability to teach in a face-to-face format, as well as hybrid and online formats.
- Conduct high-quality research leading to publications in peer reviewed journals.
- Hold regular office hours and provide academic advising and mentoring to students.
- Participate in program assessment and accreditation activities, including assurance of learning activities in the economics and management curricula.
- Follow established expectations and protocols of the department, College, and University, and serve on committees as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Chair and Dean.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the academic programs.
Minimum Qualifications
- Candidates must hold an earned master’s degree in economics, management, business administration, or a closely related discipline, with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate semester hours in either economics or management, from an AACSB accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Earned doctorate (Ph.D. or D.B.A.) in economics, management, business administration, or a related field; ABD candidates near completion will be considered.
- Qualified to teach in both (or either) economics and management, with a minimum of eighteen (18) graduate semester A hours in each field.
- College-level teaching experience in economics or management at the undergraduate level.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in face-to-face, online, and hybrid course delivery.
- A strong record of scholarly publications or a promising research agenda.
