AHA Instructor - Part Time
AHA Instructor plans, coordinates, and delivers AHA training programs for UMMC employees, students, and community members through the Resuscitation Training Center in accordance with AHA standards.
Education and Experience
Required:
High school diploma/GED
Certifications, Licenses or Registration
Required:
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, or PALS instructor certification required post-hire within thirty (30) days.

Minimum qualifications must be satisfied prior to starting work.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of adult learning principles, training/instructional methods, techniques, and formats. Interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of constituencies. Problem Resolution skills. Ability to identify training/instructional needs. Knowledge and ability to work with current technologies and general office applications (word, excel, basic computer functions, etc.).
Responsibilities:
- Provides Simulation training for internal medicine residents, medical students, faculty, staff, and other community healthcare members in AHA's courses.
- Acts as knowledge resource for UMMC employees, community members, and students.
- Assists in determining development and training needs to evaluate and improve the competence and quality of care.
- Facilitates course files, certifications, and payments in a timely manner.

Physical and Environmental Demands:
Requires occasional bending, occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, constant sitting, occasional standing, and occasional walking. (occasional-up to 20%, frequent-from 21% to 50%, constant-51% or more).
