About the Agency
The Mississippi Department of Transportation is responsible for providing a safe intermodal transportation network that is planned, designed, constructed, and maintained in an effective, cost efficient, and environmentally sensitive manner.
Responsibilities- Supervisory/Managerial position accountable for overseeing a section or subdivision of technical support to construction projects, traffic control and safety, research and development, roadway design, right of ways, testing, transportation planning and bridges.
- Schedule workload, train personnel, and supervise subordinate personnel; and prepare standard operating procedures manuals.
- Accountable for finalizing projects for clearance of materials; preparing and issuing testing engineer letter of materials and tests; and providing recommendations and advice to testing, district and project engineers, and other divisions.
- This position is the Utility Coordinator located in the Construction District Office.
You will need a strong work ethic, the ability to work well with others, and a commitment to contributing to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Qualifications- Typically requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and 10+ years of experience, and 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
