Job Summary/Purpose Coord-Transmission Outage Sr is responsible for outage coordination of the transmission and substation facilities within a geographical area for all large projects managed by the Capital Projects Transmission group for Entergy.

Job Duties /Responsibilities- Outage coordinator – Capital projects is responsible for all the coordination between PM, CM, EPC, Risk controls, Industrial Accounts, project controls, and Grid etc. to coordinate outages to complete the construction of capital projects.
- To meet the growing load profile with mega loads in Entergy, outage coordinator is required to work with all the personnel involved with the projects, operations, and risk management group and plan all the outages with competing projects and portfolios. Outage coordinator is responsible to coordinate all the upcoming project related outages several years down the road in the very FEL activities.
- Represent the Capital Projects Group in project scoping meetings, integrating project outages into the overall transmission outage schedule.
- Work closely with geographical area outage coordinators to manage and adjust outages. Attend weekly meetings hosted by system outage coordinators to review all outages.
- Insure all project related outage request are entered in Transmission’s Outage Management System in a timely and efficient manner. Perform weekly reviews of all outages entered for CP-T projects.
- Determine the impact on customer reliability and provision of transmission service associated with planned outages and recommend risk mitigation strategies where appropriate.
- Coordinate outages with the work schedules of Transmission personnel and/or the work schedules of external groups and in conjunction with outage requests.
- Negotiate commitment of Entergy resources for projects involving external parties.
- Responsible for providing a safe work environment for Entergy employees, contractors, customers, and the general public by evaluation of outage requests and communicating instructions so that switching orders are correctly prepared by TCC dispatchers with adherence to Entergy's switching and tagging guidelines.
- Draft policies or procedures related to outage coordination by utilizing efficiency methods and applicable safety procedures by participation on Entergy committees charged with enacting such policies or procedures.
