Mechanical Engineer
We are looking for an accomplished Mechanical Engineer/PE to join our Jackson, MS team. In this pivotal role, you will provide technical guidance and mentorship while leading the design of mechanical systems for healthcare projects, ensuring the work meets the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
With 4+ years of progressive technical experience
, you will help Project and Client Managers align projects with clients' needs and budgets across diverse sectors, including private, public, and federal projects
. You will collaborate closely with architects, electrical engineers, structural experts, and other disciplines to deliver innovative solutions for our local and regional clients.
- Provide technical guidance and quality oversight, including code review, for all mechanical engineering work.
- Offer technical training and development to staff.
- Establish and improve standards, practices, guidelines, and specifications for the mechanical discipline.
- Serve as Engineer of Record.
- Provide on-the-spot advice and decisions—including technical and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with all disciplines involved, including outside consultants.
- Interface technically with code officials and contractors.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity within the state in which the position is posted within six (6) months.
- Accomplished mechanical engineer with 4+ years of progressive technical experience in the design of mechanical systems for healthcare projects.
- Experience providing technical oversight of multiple projects, ensuring contract specifications and technical standards are met on time and within budget.
- Self-motivated with highly developed verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Well organized and takes good notes.
