Power Distribution Designer

Our team is looking for a Power Distribution Designer to join the team! This is a fully remote role but c
andidates MUST live between Jackson, MS and South Memphis.

The role will be fully remote doing 80% power distribution design and up to 20% local fielding. The only overnight travel may be at the beginning for training. Candidates must be self-motivated and have own reliable car to use for fielding.

• This position focuses on fielding and then creating power distribution designs (small wire changeouts, pole changeouts, etc) for a large energy client.
• Training on the software will be provided.

• Completed HS diploma
• 2+ years of experience in the utility industry, ideally within power distribution design
• Knowledge of compatible units for the utility
• Prior experience with design/work management software including, DDS, Pole Forman, Maximo, GDT, etc

• Ability to learn new design software if applicable
• Reliable car, will have up to 20% field time (can be reimbursed mileage)
• Great communication skills and professionalism
• Be located in target areas
• Able to work 80% remotely and up to 20% at field sites

• Engineering or technical degrees
• Any experience within utility/power industry
• Prior experience within power distribution design
