Controls Systems Engineer

As a Controls Systems Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant’s electrical systems and equipment. Under the guidance of the Engineering Manager, you’ll focus on the PCIS (Process Control and Information Systems) domain, contributing to action plans and driving our strategic vision. Your expertise in PLC programming, instrumentation, and controls will be essential as we strive for continuous improvement and overall facility success.

You’ll collaborate with leaders across the site on various systems projects tailored toward the plant’s Factory of the Future automation program, helping the plant be the best through impactful work.

• Own the performance of the plant’s PLC software systems, network, electrical drawing system and all power systems work, ensuring successful delivery and use of these technologies.
• Collaborate with the Sr. Systems Engineer to promote common systems, leveraging scale and future integration possibilities.
• Lead all PCIS projects and site initiatives, work with processing and packing departments, and develop relationships with global engineering and vendors.
• Coach and develop the engineering support organization and daily operation leadership, manage training for site resources, and ensure compliance with legal and company requirements.

• Associate’s degree in engineering or related field OR GED and experience in a related field.
• Experience working with PLC programming (RS Logix/ Rockwell/Allen Bradley) and National Electrical Code.
• Intermediate to advanced experience with AutoCAD software.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage internal and external relationships.
• Strong capacity to influence when working with technicians, managers, and other resources.

The annual salary range is $83,000 - $109,400, based on location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
