Project Engineer

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Review preliminary and final construction plans to ensure compliance with policies.
  • Inspect ongoing construction projects to verify compliance with approved plans and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and respond to inquiries from contractors, developers, and the general public.
  • Prepare bid documents, specifications, and estimates for contracted work.
  • Conduct research, compile data, and maintain project files for reimbursement purposes.
  • Collaborate with government officials to discuss infrastructure management and improvements.
  • Design construction projects, such as culvert replacement and storm sewer systems.

About You:

  • Possess a Bachelor's Degree in an engineering-related field.
  • Maintain or aim to achieve a Professional Engineer license.
  • Demonstrate relevant experience or education in design, surveying, and road construction.
  • Proficient in engineering-related computer programs and the operation of survey equipment.
  • Have strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Arc View GIS.
