Student, Intern Power Generation Summer 2027
We are seeking a motivated student to join our team and gain hands-on experience in electrical engineering and related projects. The intern will assist with design, testing, installation, troubleshooting, and documentation of electrical systems. This position is ideal for actively enrolled undergrad or graduate students looking to expand their practical knowledge and professional skills in a real-world environment.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, drafting, and modification of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layouts.
- Support engineers in the testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical components and systems.
- Conduct research and gather data to support ongoing projects.
- Perform basic calculations, measurements, and simulations under supervision.
- Assist with preparing technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Observe safety standards and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, production, and maintenance.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of electrical principles, circuits, and safety practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be actively enrolled in an accredited college or university at the time of hire and pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Must have a Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
