Education Program Development Team Lead – Hinds County, MS
Location:
25 – Hinds County, MS. Full‑time.
The Office Coordinator will support the Office of Early Childhood by providing daily administrative support and fiscal management for the federal funds OEC receives. Responsibilities include processing grant funds requests, payroll and travel reimbursements, managing budgets, operating the online state accounting system, creating detailed explanations of expenditures, managing equipment inventory, and effectively communicating with all stakeholders.
What You'll Need To Be SuccessfulThe ability to develop and implement office procedural guidelines; expertise in fiscal management; ability to follow accounting procedures for reporting; to accurately document and justify expenditures; to compare data and estimate future fiscal demands; understanding of state legal parameters and guidelines; improve procedures and day‑to‑day operations and meet strict deadlines; exceptional writing and organization skills, close attention to detail; fluent and accurate data entry skills in Excel/Word/PowerPoint;
ability to take direction, advice, and feedback from leadership professionally; ability to build rapport and team morale; effective and accurate communication with stakeholders.
- Master’s Degree (or relevant field) and 4+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting and/or Management
- Five (5) years of experience in fiscal and grant management
- Three (3) years of experience managing multiple budgets
- Three (3) years of experience in office coordination
