VP of Financial Planning & Analysis
Kinetic has been retained to identify a key senior team member for it's emerging growth AI technology venture around finance, pricing and company wide analytics. The right hire must be able to run at start up speed and be gifted at managing a wide range of duties.
What this role is- Own pricing strategy and margin models across government contract structures, commercial deal structures (subscription, enterprise, usage-based), and workforce development offerings
- Own revenue and pipeline forecasting across a growing, diversified customer base
- Own profitability analysis by program, contract, and customer segment
- Own Company's financial reporting infrastructure as the company scales
- Drive alignment with leadership team — spanning Technology, Product, Marketing, and Strategy — on pricing, forecasting, and financial planning
- Sit as part of executive leadership, at the intersection of Finance, Product, and Strategy
- Own the financial narrative to the board and institutional investors — reporting, Q&A, and strategic input on fundraising and growth
- Lead coordination with outside Gov Con specialists on DCAA/FAR compliance work
- Strong financial and accounting fundamentals
- Experience in strategic planning, forecasting, or FP&A
- Comfort operating at the executive level — ideally having helped scale an organization through a similar growth stage
- Versatility across pricing models — comfortable moving between structured government contracts and open-market commercial deals
- Experience presenting to a board and/or institutional investors — comfortable owning the room on financial performance and strategy
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA or advanced degree is a plus).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling), data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and ERP systems (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, Oracle).
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to present financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
