This position will learn all areas of the Office of Grant Management including Rapid Response and Layoff Aversion, Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) Programs, Governor's Discretionary Grants (GDG), Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP), National Dislocated Worker Grants (NDWG), Department of Defense SHIPS Grant, and other awarded grants within the Office of Grant Management. Attend local, regional, and statewide meetings with subgrantees, including some out of state.
Travel statewide to Rapid Response events triggered by layoffs or workplace closures to provide information on workforce resources, unemployment benefits, and reemployment services. Manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Act as liaison to local workforce development areas. Provide technical assistance to subgrantees regarding fiscal and programmatic operations. Work with appropriate accounting/fiscal staff to ensure allocation, reallocation, and expenditure of funds. Interpret complex laws/regulations.
Prepare and submit quarterly and yearly reports to the U. S. Department of Labor, local workforce development areas, and other partnership entities. Research and draft correspondence, communications, policies, and other relevant official documentation. All potential applicants are required to have a valid driver's license and pass an extensive background check.

Excellent communication, computer, and organization skills. Ability to interpret law and work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience. Agency preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university and three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a directly related field.
