The Mississippi Department of Transportation is responsible for providing a safe intermodal transportation network that is planned, designed, constructed, and maintained in an effective, cost efficient, and environmentally sensitive manner.
About the PositionSecond-level position accountable for the inspection of bridges on the State maintained system. Jobs at this level coordinate and perform all phases of assigned NBIS bridge inspections, make detailed sketches, photographs, and measurements in order to accurately report the condition of a bridge, and complete and submit all applicable bridge inspection forms. May serve as team leader.
Preferred QualificationsTypically requires completion of an FHWA approved comprehensive Bridge Inspection Course and 2-4 years of experience.
