Job Description

This is professional programmatic work supporting MDA's administration and delivery of Community Development Block Grant–Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds. The incumbent assists with project intake, eligibility review, documentation, performance tracking, and coordination with local governments, subrecipients, and other stakeholders to support timely and compliant recovery activities.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the planning, implementation, and daily coordination of eligible CDBG-DR recovery projects and activities.
  • Review project files to confirm required documentation is complete, accurate, and consistent with eligibility, approval, and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with local governments, subrecipients, partners, and other stakeholders on project scopes, milestones, reporting deadlines, and required follow-up.
  • Track project status, performance measures, deliverables, and timelines to support timely implementation and accurate reporting.
  • Assist with desk reviews, monitoring activities, documentation requests, and follow-up on findings or corrective actions.
  • Prepare status updates, summaries, and supporting documentation for management review, federal monitoring, and audit readiness.
  • Provide technical assistance to stakeholders regarding approved plans, policies, procedures, and applicable federal grant requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support MDA's recovery, compliance, and program delivery objectives.
Qualifications

A successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a grant-funded environment. The candidate should be able to interpret and apply program requirements, maintain accurate documentation, communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, and support timely project implementation while ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal guidelines. Strong written communication, organization, and attention to detail are preferred.

Typically requires a Bachelor's Degree and 1-3 years of experience. Preferred experience includes supporting federal or state grant-funded programs, reviewing project or compliance documentation, coordinating with local governments or stakeholders, and tracking project milestones, deliverables, or performance measures.
