Physical Therapy Assistant PRN FLT

Under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, provides physical therapy treatment to meet specific measurable goals. Reports to Clinical Coordinator.

• Maintain departmental policies, safety, and infection control standards.
• Assist the Physical Therapist during patient testing, evaluations, and procedures.
• Implement treatment plans as determined by the Physical Therapist.
• Design and fit adaptive devices based on patient needs.
• Educate patients and families on therapy techniques.
• Report patient condition changes and assist in updating treatment plans.
• Keep accurate medical records of patient responses.
• Supervise Rehabilitation Technicians and Aides appropriately.
• Participate in training and educational programs.
• Attend meetings and perform additional duties as assigned.

• Associate's degree and graduation from an accredited PTA program.
• Prior experience in a related environment is preferred.
• Ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on various factors.
• Certification as a PTA and Mississippi licensure as required.
