Job Description
This is a full-time high school outreach role for a Certified Athletic Trainer at the University of Mississippi Medical Center located in Jackson, MS. The Certified Athletic Trainer will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as injury prevention, athletic training, strength & conditioning, rehabilitation, and implementing prevention strategies. The role requires coordination with healthcare professionals and athletes to ensure comprehensive care and effective rehabilitation.
Qualifications
- NATA-BOC certification and Mississippi licensure at the time of hire
- Proficiency in Injury Prevention and the implementation of preventive measures
- Experience in Athletic Training and guiding athletes through training regimens
- Strength & Conditioning expertise to enhance athletic performance
- Skill in Rehabilitation to aid in athlete recovery and return-to-play protocols
- Knowledge of effective Prevention strategies to reduce injury occurrences
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant certifications and licenses in Athletic Training
- Experience in an academic or clinical setting is a plus
