Job SummaryThis is a non‑state service (NS14), time‑limited position with the Mississippi State Department of Health. The position will manage the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Ending the HIV Epidemic in the U.S. (EHE) initiative (RWEHE) program. Responsibilities include maintaining a sustainable and effective sub‑recipient monitoring process for the program, overseeing the evaluation and grant reporting processes to ensure consistent compliance with Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) requirements, developing the subrecipient scope of work in line with Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Pillars, and providing support for strategies and partnerships initiated by the Program Director/Principal Investigator to effectively address the needs of Persons Living with HIV in the state.
The individual will also ensure that Community Health Worker activities align with the overarching goals and objectives of the EHE initiative. Other duties as assigned.
Community Health Worker skills/training. Experience or interest in HIV prevention and treatment. Experience in community engagement activities and mobilizing community action. Strong communication and writing skills. Ability to learn quickly. Leadership, organizational and problem‑solving skills, ability to manage multiple tasks. Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work well as a team member and with diverse partners. Attention to detail and a strong value for high‑quality work products.
Independent work ethic and positive, self‑starter attitude. Flexibility and adaptability to a fast‑paced work environment.
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and 4–7 years of experience. Agency preferred qualifications:
Master’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of experience with healthcare program management.
