Food Service Manager - Lakeland Community Care Center (Transportation)

Essential Qualifications and Responsibilities- Monitor food quality and portion control to maintain high standards of nutrition and satisfaction among residents.
- Oversee meal service to ensure residents receive timely and appropriate meals according to their individualized dietary plans.
- Work flexible hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Assist in assigning specific jobs and spot‑checking to ensure standards are met.
- Ensure that all policies and procedures related to safety and health are followed, including MSDS information, safe work practices, infection control, and universal precautions.
- Promote teamwork within the department and between departments to ensure smooth operations and quality service.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining written dining room service objectives and standards of practice, with procedures for implementation.
- Assist in providing staff education to dining room personnel in accordance with the staff education plan, and provide job training for dining room personnel.
- Ensure that dining room service follows all local, federal, and state regulations in relation to service, sanitation, and personnel.
- Conduct daily pre‑shift meetings, in‑service training, and tailored training courses.
- Inspect multiple pantries and equipment to determine repair or maintenance needs and cleanliness.
- Attend in‑service training/meetings and ensure monthly education sessions through Relias are completed on time as assigned.
- Audit pantry service offerings and initiate improvements with the dietary manager.
- Perform specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
