Surgical Cleaning Attendant

Overview

Provides a clean and safe environment to the patient, staff, and visitors. Cleans, disinfects, and maintains surgery. Provides courteous, safe transport of patients and/or supplies throughout the facility. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Maintains environment of care.
• Transports patients, equipment, and/or supplies throughout hospital to ensure items are available when needed for patient care.
• Develops and maintains technical skills.
• Inspects equipment prior to usage to ensure in proper working order.
• Documents all patient transports on appropriate chart/log.
• Completes assigned goals

• 1 year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment. 6 months hospital or customer service experience.

• 1 year of housekeeping experience in a healthcare environment. 6 months hospital or customer service experience.

• Knowledge, skills, and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of high school, or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience

• High School diploma, GED or higher

• As needed to perform duties

• BLS certification within 14 days of hire date

• BLS
