Kentucky Licensed HIM CDI Specialist

A company is looking for a HIM CDI Specialist.

Key Responsibilities Review patient medical records to identify documentation opportunities and ensure accurate MS-DRG assignment Collaborate with physicians to clarify documentation inconsistencies and educate on disease processes Analyze documentation findings to develop action plans for process improvements and resolve coding issues

Required Qualifications Current licensure as a RN, RHIA, RHIT, or active CCS (AHIMA) or CPC-H (AAPC) coding credential 3+ years of acute care experience as a RN or inpatient coding experience as a RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC-H Advanced clinical expertise and extensive knowledge of complex disease processes Certification as a Clinical Documentation Specialist or Clinical Documentation Improvement Professional (CCDS or CDIP) required within 12 months of employment
