Troubleshoot DAX Data Modelling Developer
(Jackson, MS)
Contract – 60 months

Job OverviewWe are looking for a qualified Power BI Developer with at least 7 years' experience to prototype, design, develop, and publish Power BI reports; model data; implement security; and integrate dashboards using Power BI Embedded.
Responsibilities- Prototyping, designing, developing, and publishing Power BI reports.
- Developing Power BI data models and recommending best practices.
- Implementing security in reports and dashboards.
- Integrating dashboards into applications using Power BI Embedded.
- Collaborating with business analysts to gather requirements for analytics and reporting.
- Providing guidance and code reviews to BI team members.
- Troubleshooting reporting issues and tuning report performance.
- Creating and modifying database tables and views; reviewing plans to optimize SQL queries.
- Implementing security on developed dashboards per security and access requirements.
- Ensuring agile/scrum practices are followed during the development process.
- Evaluating self-service reporting and dashboard tools.
- Estimating work content and achieving planned timelines.
- Multitasking effectively between projects.
- 7+ years of experience in Power BI and DAX data modeling.
- Strong SQL query development skills (preferably SQL Server).
- Experience with M query, DAX, data modeling, row-level security.
- Understanding of multiple data sources and how to integrate solutions.
- Experience with Agile methodology.
- Strong analytical and complex problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Independent and team-oriented work capability.
- Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure AD, and Azure ecosystem (desired).
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Web Logic experience.
- Experience with self-service reporting.
- Understanding of security concepts including access control and data security.
