IT Director

Position Description

• Leadership and Team Management:
  This position will be responsible for leading the IT department and focusing on continuous improvement while fostering a culture of innovation.
• Strategic IT Planning:
  The IT Director is responsible for executing and developing a strategic IT plan that focuses on security, scalability, and efficiency and aligns with the organization’s goals.
• Technology Oversight:
  The IT Director must be up-to-date with emerging technological trends and analyze their possible impact on the organization.
• Budget and Resource Management:
  The IT Director will oversee the IT budget and ensure the cost-effective allocation of resources. This includes negotiating with vendors and managing the procurement processes for IT services and equipment.
• This position is responsible for the ownership and management of all aspects of Information Technology throughout the Unitek Global Services environment to include forecasting future technology requirements and planning for disaster recovery and business continuity.
• The IT Director will research, implement, and enforce security best practices to prevent cyber attacks and security breaches.
• This position will own and manage the documentation of internal processes for achieving optimal performance of computer systems through internal knowledge management portals.

• Bachelor’s Degree in IT field required, Master’s Degree (or other graduate degree) is preferred.
• At least 1 professional IT certification required to include:
  CompTIA Security+ or Network+, ISC2 CISSP, ISACA CISM, etc.

• 7+ years of proven experience in an IT leadership position.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills as well as ability to perform under pressure alongside changing technology practices.
• Exceptional working knowledge of operating systems and networking platforms.
• Exceptional attention to detail and management of competing priorities.
• Understanding of system security and data recovery.
• Knowledge of networking and databases.
