Technical Writer

We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to support the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise information security governance documentation. This role is responsible for creating clear, technically accurate, and enforceable security documentation that aligns with industry cybersecurity frameworks, regulatory requirements, and organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in cybersecurity documentation, security governance, and technical writing, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into well‑structured documentation for both technical and non‑technical audiences.

• Develop, revise, and maintain enterprise information security policies.
• Create technical standards that support approved security policies.
• Develop operational procedures, implementation guides, and supporting documentation.
• Produce security baselines and configuration documentation.
• Ensure governance documentation is technically accurate, consistent, complete, and enforceable.
• Recommend improvements to documentation structure, organization, and governance processes.
• Produce documentation suitable for technical teams, leadership, auditors, and external reviewers.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity subject matter experts to document existing processes, security controls, and operational requirements.
• Maintain document version control and support scheduled policy reviews and updates.
• Ensure documentation aligns with industry standards, security frameworks, and organizational best practices.

• Experience as a Technical Writer supporting cybersecurity, information security, or IT governance initiatives.
• Strong technical writing, editing, and documentation management skills.
• Experience developing enterprise security policies, standards, procedures, and implementation documentation.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and business audiences.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional technical teams and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

• Knowledge of NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF).
• Familiarity with NIST SP 800‑53.
• Understanding of IRS Publication 1075.
• Experience with CIS Critical Security Controls.
• Information Security Governance.
• Identity and Access Management (IAM).
• Vulnerability Management.
• Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Planning.
• Security Awareness and Training.
• Security Policy Lifecycle Management.

• Experience authoring documentation aligned with NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), NIST SP 800‑53, and IRS Publication 1075.
• Professional cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
