Location:
Jackson, MS | Contract | Hourly Pay Range $60-$70
Join a dynamic team supporting enterprise-wide IT audit and compliance initiatives within a regulated environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned IT Audit & Compliance Analyst experienced in managing audit processes, supporting risk assessments, and developing governance documentation to ensure adherence to federal security standards.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and support internal and external IT audits from planning through remediation.
- Prepare audit responses, gather supporting documentation, and maintain audit evidence.
- Develop, track, and update Corrective Action Plans (CAPs) and Plans of Action & Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Track audit findings through remediation and communicate status updates to management.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to validate and submit audit evidence.
- Review documentation for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify documentation gaps and assist in developing or updating security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Support security control assessments, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
- Maintain audit repositories and compliance documentation.
- Prepare audit status reports, security assessment responses, and compliance reports.
- Monitor remediation activities and assist with implementing corrective actions.
- 5+ years supporting IT audits, compliance, or information security governance.
- Proven experience supporting internal and external audits and regulatory compliance initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of IT audit processes, information security governance, risk management, security control assessments, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, IRS Publication 1075, CAPs, POA&Ms, and audit evidence collection.
- Experience coordinating with technical teams, business stakeholders, and auditors.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
- Experience supporting IRS, SSA, or OSA audits and compliance programs.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CGRC, CISSP, CRISC, Security+, or equivalent.
- Experience with security governance, compliance reporting, and remediation tracking in regulated environments.
