Position Overview
Information Technology Specialist (Systems Administration)
Location:
Software Management Branch (N642), Systems Integration Services Division (N64), Information Technology Department Services (N6) of Navocean Bay St. Louis.
You will serve as a system administrator responsible for installing, patching, configuring, integrating, testing, and monitoring relational database management systems (RDBMS) on Linux or Windows operating systems. Responsibilities include maintaining cybersecurity compliance strategies for information assurance vulnerabilities (IAVs), monitoring systems to ensure operational availability, and resolving software and system operational issues. You will also collaborate with IT personnel to resolve design, implementation, and operations problems.
RequiredExperience
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following at a minimum:
- Experience in system/software administration tasks (installing, patching, configuring, integrating, testing, monitoring) of RDBMS on Linux or Windows.
- Experience maintaining cybersecurity compliance strategies for information assurance vulnerabilities (IAVs) and monitoring systems for operational availability.
- Experience with Linux system administration and ability to operate in Linux command‑line mode.
- Experience analyzing and resolving operational issues related to software and systems.
- Experience working with IT personnel to resolve issues related to design, implementation, and operations.
