Work Arrangement: Onsite
Job Type: Long-Term Contract
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Specialist to support the design, implementation, security, migration, and optimization of cloud-based infrastructure. This is a long-term contract opportunity for a hands-on cloud professional who can help build and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments.
The Cloud Specialist will work closely with infrastructure, application, security, networking, and other cross-functional teams to support cloud initiatives, migrate existing workloads, optimize performance, and ensure cloud environments meet security and compliance requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and modify scalable cloud architectures supporting Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) environments.
Ensure the security, compliance, data protection, and privacy of cloud environments.
Safely migrate existing on-premises applications, workloads, and databases to public cloud platforms.
Monitor and analyze cloud infrastructure performance to proactively identify and resolve issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
.Design and implement controls and processes utilizing available cloud auditing, monitoring, and security tools
.Automate infrastructure and operational processes using scripting and automation technologies.
Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure, networking, server, and application-related issues.
Maintain current and extensive knowledge of cloud products, technologies, services, and best practices
.Contribute to the continuous improvement and modernization of the organization's cloud infrastructure.
Proficiency with at least one major public cloud platform:
AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP
.Hands-on experience with automation and scripting
, including Python, Bash, and/or Power Shell.Strong understanding of cloud networking
, including Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), subnets, routing, security groups, and firewalls.Advanced virtual machine (VM) management experience.
Strong Windows Server and Active Directory administration skills.
Strong Linux administration experience.
Understanding of cloud security, compliance, monitoring, and infrastructure optimization.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
5–6+ years of experience working with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
Previous experience supporting government, public-sector, or regulated environments
.Experience with
cloud migration and modernization projects
.Experience with cloud governance, auditing, security controls, and compliance requirements.
Long-term contract opportunity
