Key Responsibilities Review and evaluate applications for excess insurance, determining acceptance or declination based on underwriting guidelines Approve or decline insurance applications and issue coverage, preparing referrals for risks exceeding authority limits Document underwriting files and provide recommendations to clients to reduce exposure to excessive risk
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Minimum 5 years of Excess underwriting or related insurance experience Experience underwriting risk for construction, hospitality, real estate, and manufacturing classes CPCU, CIC, CRIS, or Property & Casualty Brokers License preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn industry-specific software quickly
