ResponsibilitiesThis time-limited, full-time position is within the Housekeeping Department located at our new State Veterans Home in Jackson, MS. This vocational-level Custodian is accountable for cleaning office areas or resident areas. Works under general direction and follows set instructions and directions. Works as part of a cleaning crew. Operates a variety of power cleaning or laundry equipment. Responsible for maintaining an inventory of supplies and tools and notifying the supervisor of resupply needs.
May perform routine maintenance on cleaning equipment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, a sense of workflow management, and problem-solving/decision-making skills.
Preferred QualificationsTypically requires a High School Diploma or high school equivalency and 0-1 year of work experience.
