Position: Commercial Parts Pro  Store 9943

Professional level sales position capable of supporting advanced functions on the commercial side of the business. Responsible for profitable growth via customer retention and growth. Partners with GM to manage team members. Requires expert knowledge of automotive systems and parts, sourcing from multiple suppliers, and directing drivers for timely delivery. Full time.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Maintain commercial customer relationships
  • Provide GAS2 selling experience to commercial customers
  • Achieve personal/store sales goals and service objectives
  • Support team members day‑to‑day supervision
  • Collaborate with GM on coaching and developmental needs for team members
  • Dispatch drivers ensuring delivery standards are met
  • Maintain commercial stocking programs
  • Build and maintain a network of second‑source suppliers
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Maintain core bank and commercial returns
  • Maintain commercial credit accounts
  • Partner with GM to ensure proper driver coverage

Essential

Job Skills
  • Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostic ability (engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, exhaust, etc.)
  • Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management
  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; write simple correspondence
  • Understand and execute instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Successfully complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment
  • Use basic math accurately (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in various units
  • Use Microsoft Word and Excel effectively
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understand commercial profitability concepts, including competition, market opportunities, and customer prioritization
  • Work assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
Prior Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of automotive parts experience preferred
  • Proven sales ability with past experience in fulfillment of customer transactions
  • Formal or informal experience leading teams, supervising daily tasks, and collaborating to achieve goals
Education

High school diploma or GED

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

ASE Certification preferred but not required

Physical Demands

Predominantly walking or standing; lifts and/or moves up to 50 lbs frequently and occasionally up to 100 lbs. Requires use of hands and fingers, reach, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Requires close, distance, color, and depth vision.

Work Environment

Typically inside; occasionally outside and exposed to weather conditions while installing batteries and wiper blades. Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, vibration. Noise level usually moderate.

Position is eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance.
