Role DescriptionThis is a part-time, on-site role located in Mississippi, for the position of Soldier with the Mississippi Army National Guard. The Soldier will be responsible for a variety of duties depending on their chosen military occupational specialty (MOS) and unit assignment. Key responsibilities may include operating equipment, participating in training exercises, maintaining physical fitness, and supporting humanitarian or disaster relief efforts.
Soldiers are also expected to adhere to strict discipline, follow chain-of-command, and actively contribute to team objectives.
- Ability to follow instructions, adhere to discipline, and operate effectively as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Effective communication and leadership abilities
- Willingness to commit to regular training and readiness for deployment if required
- Physical fitness and ability to meet Army National Guard health and fitness standards
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; higher education is a plus
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and ability to pass background checks
