Fire Chief​/Site Manager|; Ssc) Stennis Space Center Ms

Position Overview

Vision Quest Solutions is seeking an experienced Fire Chief / Site Manager to support NASA Fire Services at Stennis Space Center.

The Fire Chief / Site Manager will serve as the full-time, onsite leader responsible for the overall management and day-to-day fire services operations at Stennis Space Center. This position provides leadership across emergency response, fire prevention, training, safety, EMS, hazardous materials, and technical rescue functions.

• Lead day-to-day fire department operations at Stennis Space Center
• Serve as the facility Fire Chief and onsite Site Manager
• Manage assigned fire services personnel and subcontractors
• Maintain operational readiness and required staffing
• Oversee firefighting, emergency response, EMS, fire prevention, training, hazardous materials, and technical rescue activities
• Ensure compliance with NASA requirements, policies, procedures, certifications, and safety standards
• Coordinate with NASA leadership and program management
• Participate in required meetings, reviews, and reporting
• Support emergency, surge, and mutual-aid operations as required
• Maintain 24/7 availability by phone as required for site leadership

• Bachelor’s degree in Fire Science or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Fire Chief or Deputy Fire Chief managing at least 20 firefighting personnel
• Bachelor’s degree may be substituted with an additional 5 years of qualifying Fire Chief or Deputy Fire Chief experience
• Firefighter II certification
• Fire Officer IV certification
• Fire Inspector I certification
• Fire Instructor I certification
• Firefighter/Driver qualification
• ICS-100, CSC-200, CSC-300 and CSC-400
• IS-700 and IS-800
• Hazardous Materials Operations qualification
• Technical Rescue Awareness
• Must meet the requirements of at least one applicable specialty area, including Operations, Safety, Training, Fire Prevention, or EMS
• Must meet applicable NASA security, background, medical, and physical requirements

Qualifying certifications may include Department of Defense (DoD), Pro Board, state certification boards, or equivalent certifications accepted by NASA.

This is a full-time, onsite leadership position at Stennis Space Center.
