CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift. The core hours are 3:30pm to 12:00am. The hourly rate for this position is $28.27 + $1.00 shift differential per hour.

Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What you'll do:

The CNC Machinist will perform a combination of duties that include the following classification functions:
Finishing Cell Machining, Forming Cell Machining, Product Support Technician, Sub-Assembly, Store keeping, Material Handling, Cleaning & Snagging.

• Rotate through each lean cell function and rotation through other lean cells.
• Perform visual and physical inspection of parts using functional measuring equipment.
• Apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) to detect an out-of-control condition as well as other problem-solving methodologies to ensure quality of product.
• Interpret and work from complex drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Set up and operate distinct types of machines and finishing equipment (lathes, mills, drills; CNC & Manual, grinders, CNC grinders, laps, hones) without assistance and maintain proper tolerances.
• Responsible for returning all tools to their proper location at the end of the shift and cleaning work area.
• Perform sub-assembly operations such as, installation of pins, plugs, inserts, bearings, miscellaneous components, etc.

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

• A Machining certificate or Associate's degree in a technical field OR a minimum of two (2) years of experience in machining.
• CNC experience with lathes, mills, grinders, manual hone, or lap.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Ability to read and understand G & M code
• Prior work experience using hone, lap, and grind equipment
• Five years of precision machining experience
