Job Description

The overallobjectiveof the Electrical Assembler position is to provide high quality craftsmanship in all electrical assembly techniquestocontribute to a team focused on achieving industry leading cycle time, delivering superior quality, andassistingin reducing per unit costs to drive operational success. Consistent andaccuraterepresentation of the Mission Critical Group brand, mission, vision, values, and organizational strategy are essential to achieving the goals of the organization.

Accountabilities

  • Demonstrates a basic level ofproficiencyin executing workmanship on production projects including large line‑ups and complex sections in all areas of assembly. Installing all types of electrical components and devices onto pans and into enclosures per drawing packages, assembly guides, and instructions defined by the Engineering Department.
  • Prep and install electrical components, switches, meters, breaker cells, breakers, nameplates, sensors, etc. by reading andcomprehendingdrawing packages,layoutsand documents with supervision, to efficiently build customized equipment in order tomeet and exceed deadlines.
  • Perform daily tasks with safe and proper use of equipment and tools. overhead cranes, pallet jacks, tilt tables,saw horses, stools, ladders, drills, hand tools, air and electric power tools, tape measures, etc.
  • Interpret and apply basic electrical manufacturing knowledge and principles while reading specifications to make determinations oncomponentparts,methods and sequencing.
  • Maintain a safe,cleanand well‑organized work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards and best practices, and relying on pre‑established guidelines or directions from senior team members to perform tasks optimally.
  • Maintain operational excellence by completing necessary paperwork for tasks such as Quality Check Lists.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Required Knowledge / Experience

  • 3+months of experience assembling electrical switchboards from a drawing package in our manufacturing facility.
  • Production and Processing:

    Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Mechanical:

    Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Toolsinclude:screw drivers, ratchet and sockets, wrenches, torque wrenches, cutters, tape measure, band saw, air and electric power tools, drills, inspection mirror, etc.
  • Active Listening:

    The ability to give full attention to when others speak andtakingtime to understand the points being made; asking questions as appropriate, andnot interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Verbal & Written Communication

    Skills:

    The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand and the ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
