27525 12 hours - night shift, 05:00pm- 05:30am- shift B
- Prepare and evaluate cubicle qualification samples (Tab samples)
- Prepare and evaluate sample parts and customer hardware (Part cut ups) and evaluate physical properties (e.g. Hardness – Micro and Macro)
- Perform set‑ups and operate a variety of standard lab equipment, while adhering to prescribed methods of operation
- Calibrate and maintain lab equipment
- Order all Met Lab supplies including polishing suspensions, grit paper, etc
- Perform quality evaluations of standard coatings in a timely manner, identifying problem areas and reporting results to appropriate individuals
- Accurate record keeping for all of the above
- High School Diploma / GED and five (5) years related experience such as in quality, manufacturing, or similar environment
- Ability to complete Linde Metallurgical Technician Training and Metcut Training, and maintain certification(s)
- Ability to perform quality evaluations of standard coatings and basic investigations into metallurgical issues at a level typically acquired through lab experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work extended hours and/or weekends and holidays as needed
