Forklift Operator

Location: MAPS Arch Mail MS, Architectural Mailboxes, 107 Fellowship Road, Taylorsville, MS 39168, USA.

The Forklift Operator is a Pay Grade 4.

Responsibilities include:

• Safely and efficiently transport raw materials, component parts, and finished goods to and from various locations within the plant.
• Safely and efficiently load finished products into third‑party shipping trailers and containers.
• Support production departments and control stock.
• Convey materials to the production areas as ordered and stock parts and material.
• Accurately record all transactions on appropriate documents and submit them to the Receiving Clerk in a timely manner.
• Cooperate with fellow employees and the supervisor.
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with other work groups, both within and outside the department.
• Help other coworkers learn their job.
• Participate in problem solving as directed.
• Recommend ideas for continual improvement.
• Keep the area clean and free from excess clutter to ensure smooth operation and desirable work conditions.
• Understand and demonstrate performance in managing component parts associated with the job, including accounting for use, scrap, and rework, as well as identification, proper storage, and care.

• High school diploma recommended.
• One year of forklift operation experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred.
• Good work record in previous employment with no written warnings.
• Ability to follow verbal and written work instructions and understand quality requirements and monitor production.
• Must obtain forklift certification during the first week on the job.
• Ability to learn new operations, become cross‑trained, and rotate jobs.
• Possess basic math skills.
• Knowledge of SAP to scan and move parts and materials between locations.
