Air Arc Operator – 1st Shift, Newton, MS
Work Arrangement:
Onsite. Shift: 1st Shift 5:00 AM – 3:15 PM, Monday to Thursday (4‑day work week schedule).

What You’ll Do- Arc Operations:
Perform all standard arc operations in the Heat Treat department, including arcing fins, contact notches, and other irregularities off castings. - Surface Preparation:
Remove sand or scale from work surfaces using chipping gun, hammer, or brush to ensure quality finishes. - Casting Modification:
Cut tie bars off castings as required to prepare parts for further processing. - Daily
Activities:
Handle arc rod holders, operate hoists to lift parts up to 1500 lbs, and stand for approximately 10 hours per day while following work instructions and prioritizing tasks effectively. - Success Metrics:
Consistently delivering high‑quality arc operations, maintaining safety standards, and meeting production schedules with minimal downtime. - Safety First:

Must‑haves:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to grasp and operate an arc rod holder effectively.
- Physical capability to lift parts up to 1500 lbs using hoists and stand for extended periods (around 10 hours daily).
- Good reading, writing, general math, and verbal communication skills.
Nice‑to‑haves:
- Some welding experience.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or heat treat environment.
- Familiarity with safety protocols in industrial settings.
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and prioritize tasks independently.
