Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a High Performance Work Team Leader
- Machine Shop. This position will be located at our Jackson, MS facility.

The Jackson facility has approximately 550 employees and is a leader in the design, development, manufacture and delivery of Aerospace hydraulic components, systems and services to the global aftermarket and OEM markets.

The High-Performance Work Team Leader, Manufacturing – Machine Shop is responsible for leading the machine shop operations for hourly employees and to drive continuous improvements in production, quality, and safety while driving improvement through the framework of the Eaton Business System (EBS).

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

What You'll Do:

• Schedule production of machined components to meet stated goals for capacity utilization, on time delivery, and cost.

• Track team metrics (Safety, On Time Delivery, internal and External Quality, Productivity, OT hours, continuous improvement, etc).

• Implement systems and procedures to support team/cells utilizing High Performance Teams and coach team members (hourly & salaried) on implementation of Eaton Lean system to drive cost & waste out of the process.

• Prepare and deliver periodic reports to JLT for team performance and develop yearly business plan for production cell.

• Participate in leadership roles during plant wide activities involving (safety, employee satisfaction, and continuous improvement).

• Direct day-to-day activities in production cells and manage priorities on shared resources to achieve the business needs.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of three (3) years experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Jackson, MS will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited institution.

• Experience in a machine shop environment.

• Experience working in a union represented environment.

• Green Belt or Lean Certified.

• Lean manufacturing experience.

• Thorough knowledge of Aerospace industry, complex machined materials management, lean manufacturing, MRP/ERP, and MFG Pro a plus.

• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization (customers, marketing, engineering, quality, and manufacturing) is key.

• Desire to work in a collaborative environment with strong ability to take action and get results.

Change management skills a plus.

• Strong influencing, negotiation, coaching and consulting skills.
