Responsible for the maintenance and repair of the ladles and vessels, relining with multi-components the AOD vessels, bottom pour ladles, transfer ladles and the making of stopper rods, cleans the old linings out of the ladles with the use of a chipping gun and installs the appropriate lining, removes the burned bricks from the AOD vessel and re-bricks the vessel, positions and moves the ladles, vessels and refractory materials with an overhead crane.

Good reading, writing, mathematical, and verbal skills
Working Environment – Indoors, extreme heat, noise 90+, possible air contaminants, possible mechanical/electrical hazards, and possible physical hazards.
Physical Demands, Great upper body strength, good hand and eye coordination, standing, climbing, lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, reaching, and walking.
