The Shotblast Operator is responsible for checking the hardness of castings and ensuring they meet the Manufacturing and Inspection Instructions (MII) requirements. The operator must directly follow MII and work instructions to correctly load parts, quarantine parts requiring weld repair, and safely load and remove parts manually or using proper equipment. The operator will also visually inspect each casting for defects and separate by pattern and part.

The operator may be asked to perform other jobs within or outside the department.

• Attain LOTO (Lock out tag out) certification.
• Collect PVR data.
• Use hand tools and hoist to move parts weighing 1500 lbs.
• Demonstrate 100 % commitment to zero‑harm behaviors to support a world‑class safety culture.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be able to read, write, perform math, and have good communication skills.
• Must be able to walk, bend, and stand for 90 % of the shift.
