Director of Manufacturing – Aerospace & Defense
Northeast Mississippi | $170,000–$200,000 + Bonus + Benefits
A growing advanced manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing to lead and scale a highly regulated production operation in Northeast Mississippi.
This executive-level position will oversee manufacturing performance, workforce leadership, capacity planning, operational improvement, budgets, and capital investments. The Director will partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure production meets demanding safety, quality, cost, delivery, and customer requirements.
What You’ll Be Doing- Lead day-to-day manufacturing and production operations
- Improve safety, quality, cost, delivery, throughput, and workforce productivity
- Scale personnel, equipment, facilities, and processes to support organizational growth
- Lead continuous-improvement and operational-excellence initiatives
- Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and senior leadership
- Manage manufacturing budgets, resource allocation, and capital investments
- Develop manufacturing managers, supervisors, and production personnel
- Strengthen production systems, processes, reporting, and operational controls
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering
- Director-level, plant, or senior manufacturing leadership experience
- Background in aerospace, defense, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment
- Experience leading complex production operations
- Strong Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience
- Demonstrated success improving cost, quality, delivery, and operational performance
- ERP or manufacturing-systems experience
- Ability to satisfy applicable U.S. export-control requirements
