Aircraft Mechanic 3 - Luka, MS (Onsite)
Join a dynamic team as an Aircraft Mechanic 3 at our Luka, MS facility. In this hands-on role, you'll fabricate, modify, and assemble advanced aircraft structures with precision and expertise. Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints for the fabrication of structural assemblies
- Execute precision drilling, countersinking, and use of calibrated tools
- Align components on jigs using templates and fixtures for maximum accuracy
- Perform part-fitting tasks such as filing, sawing, burring, crimping, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming
- Measure and verify dimensions using micrometers, calipers, and other precision tools
- Modify assemblies to incorporate structural changes as required
- Maintain strict adherence to quality verification processes and manufacturing controls
- Utilize shop floor systems and maintain proper use of PPE at all times
- Recommend and drive improvements in work processes, safety, and efficiency
Required
Skills and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working with hydraulic parts, assemblies, components, or systems in aerospace, automotive, military, manufacturing, or maintenance environments
- Proficiency with standard measuring tools and power hand tools (drills, grinders, sanders, saws)
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and written instructions
- Physically capable of performing repetitive, moderate strenuous work (bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 35 lbs, working overhead and in confined spaces)
- Willingness and ability to work any assigned shift
- Successful completion of required new hire training and compliance modules
- Willing and able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance (active clearance preferred)

- Prior experience in aerospace manufacturing environments
- Active DOD Secret Clearance
- Demonstrated expertise in quality control and continuous improvement activities
