MidwivesOur large, diverse group of certified nurse midwives offer personalized women’s health care from puberty, through childbirth, to menopause and beyond.
Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the health care team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification which is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position, works independently and in collaboration with principal investigator when appropriate.

Shift: 6:30‑7 working hours – work between these open hours and 8 hours. 1 Saturday a month 8‑12 (may float for sick or vacation coverage)
Education/ExperienceRequired:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Phone triage and in basket
- NSTs (non‑stress tests)
- OB intakes and nurse visits
- Schedules NSTs and OB intakes as well as nurse visits.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.
- Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
- Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
- Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical group personnel.
- Preferred experience in the specialty.
- Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
- Prior women's health experience preferred.
- EFM (External Fetal Monitoring) experience preferred.
Required:
- Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
