• Location: Jackson, MS 39216 (Jackson, Mississippi; Mississippi nursing jobs)
• Setting: Acute Care – Hematology/Oncology Unit (5 South)
• Shift: 12 Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours guaranteed
• Duration: 13-week travel contract (potential to extend)
• Start Date: March 23, 2026
• Openings: 3 Oncology RN / Travel RN positions

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1680–$1770 per week (based on 36 hours)

• Active RN license (Mississippi or eligible to obtain; willing to wait for license if needed)
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in a Level 1 trauma center or very large hospital
• EPIC electronic health record experience required (EPIC charting)
• Experience with high-acuity patients, central lines, chest tubes, and hematology/oncology care preferred
• Chemo administration experience is a plus; manager will train if needed (chemo nurse training available)
• Comfortable floating within skillset to other med/surg units as a med/surg RN
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemption allowed with documentation)
• Fingerprinting required prior to start (remote or in-person options available)

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to hematology/oncology patients in a 32-bed unit (oncology RN responsibilities)
• Manage nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:5 (may be adjusted for higher acuity)
• Administer medications, including chemotherapy when trained (chemo administration duties)
• Monitor and titrate drips as ordered (e.g., heparin)
• Collaborate with central monitor station and multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health record system
• Participate in unit orientation, ongoing professional development, and oncology education
• Work every other weekend or two weekends per month and rotate holidays with staff
• Float to other med/surg units as needed within your skillset
