Emergency Room Nurse Manager – GRH

George Regional Hospital is seeking an experienced and compassionate Emergency Room Nurse Manager to lead our Emergency Department team. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily department operations, supporting nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care, and maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. The ER Nurse Manager serves as a clinical leader while promoting a positive, team-oriented environment focused on patient safety and exceptional care.

• Oversee daily operations and workflow within the Emergency Department
• Supervise and support nursing and ancillary staff
• Assist with staffing, scheduling, and departmental coverage
• Promote high-quality, patient-centered emergency care
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Assist with staff education, competencies, and performance evaluations
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care and departmental goals
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Serve as a clinical resource and leader for the department

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous Emergency Department experience required
• Minimum of 5 years of managerial or leadership experience preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required (or willingness to obtain if applicable)
• Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
