Position: Travel CVOR Registered Nurse - $2,800 per week

GHR Healthcare - Travel is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Jackson, Tennessee.

Job Details – Travel Nurse / CVOR RN
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,500 - $2,630
  • Location: Jackson, TN 38301
  • Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
  • Shift: Day shift, 5x8‑hour (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM)
  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Call Requirement: 1 night per week (2:30 PM – 6:00 AM), every 5th weekend (Saturday 7:00 AM – Monday 6:00 AM)
  • Patient Ratio: 1:1
  • Orientation: 16 hours
Qualifications – CVOR Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of recent CVOR RN experience (cardiac surgery and thoracic procedures)
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Epic charting experience within the last 12 months (documented)
  • Valid RN license (Compact or Tennessee) — applicable for Tennessee nursing jobs
  • Broad competency in cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures: CABG, MVR, AVR, TVR, ECMO, TAVR, TCAR, Impella insertion/removal, thoracic/lung procedures, and robotic surgery
  • COVID‑19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemption for COVID‑19 only)
  • Previous charge nurse experience and community hospital experience preferred
CVOR Registered Nurse Responsibilities
  • Circulate and scrub for a wide range of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical cases as a CVOR RN / surgical nurse
  • Provide direct perioperative patient care and continuous monitoring during procedures
  • Administer blood and blood products and follow transfusion protocols
  • Utilize Epic for accurate perioperative charting and documentation
  • Participate fully in call rotation and on‑call responsibilities
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • Maintain infection control, sterile technique, and patient safety standards in the CVOR
  • Handle specimen labeling, surgical counts, and universal protocol verification
