We’re seeking the right candidate for the position of Staff Development Nurse - LPN at Manhattan Community Care Center
. In this vital role, you’ll ensure that our residents receive the highest level of care while collaborating with a dedicated team, providing exceptional clinical leadership and support.
Essential
Qualifications:
- Plan an organized system of training to assist in maintaining overall staff competence to maintain individualized safety, quality of care.
- Plans and implements in-service programs for the development and improvement of the skills of facility personnel using a variety of teaching methods, presentations, materials and resources to meet the learner’s needs.
- Continually assess and evaluate staff learning throughout the orientation process for modification in various teaching methods.
- Attends scheduled corporate staff development and infection control meetings.
- Plans and implements nurse aide training program in accordance with state and federal requirements.
The Ideal Candidate :
- The candidate must hold a current registered nurse license or a licensed practical nurse to practice in the state of Mississippi.
- Must be knowledgeable of infection control practices. Previous specialized education/training in infection control is required. Certification as an infection control preventionist is preferred.
- A minimum of two years long-term care or post-acute care experience and at least one year of experience in the acute care setting is preferred. (infection control)
- Must be proficient in Word and Excel programs
- Ability to communicate well with others.
- Ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Ability to be a leader and to develop and motivate people.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and be flexible with priorities when appropriate.
- Ability to work under stressful situations
- Ability to communicate fluently, in English, verbally and written.
- Ability to work self-directed and autonomously.
- Ability to manage, plan and oversee the utilization of resources and the design of work processes
- Has not been excluded from participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
- Maintains eligibility to participate in Medicare and Medicaid programs throughout employment.
- Capable of providing emergency care as needed for any resident in the facility.
- Maintains a neat, well-groomed appearance at all times.
- Ability and willingness to function appropriately in a disaster or evacuation of the facility.
