Job Description
Overview
In this role, you will monitor all quality activities on a project and ensure compliance with the Quality Implementation Plan (QIP). You will participate in design phase activities and document reviews. You should understand design documents and performs precons, first work in place, and periodic inspections to ensure compliance with the design documents. Promotes the use of materials, finishes, and details with excellent long-term quality performance.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Initiates a Quality Implementation Plan (QIP) for each assigned project.
Design Phase:
Leads design quality kick-off meetings and ensures 30% and 100% design reviews are completed and signed.
Identifies quality risks and develops mitigation strategies early.
Reviews final design documents and geotechnical reports; advises project leadership on critical findings.
Ensures geotechnical, concrete, and envelope design reviews are conducted.
Construction Phase:
Leads construction quality kick-off meetings.
Oversees mechanical piping QA/QC, including weld inspections, material verification, hydrostatic testing, and compliance with project specifications and codes.
Assists with selecting and managing independent testing labs; oversees schedules, contracts, reports, and results distribution.
Finalizes quality risk mitigation plans.
Ensures preconstruction meetings, first work inspections, and site observations are completed as per QIP.
Conducts QA inspections, documents deficiencies, and monitors corrective actions.
Closeout Phase:
Ensures completion conferences and AE punch list reviews are conducted and documented.
Performs final QA inspections, verifies resolution of deficiencies, and conducts lessons learned meetings.
Prepares and distributes lessons learned and final QIP reports.
Additional Duties:
Produces timely, well-structured QA reports.
Escalates potential liabilities and trends to QA leadership; submits monthly QIP summaries.
Participates in QIP audits and monthly team meetings.
Completes at least 8 hours of professional development annually.
Conducts at least one quality training session per year.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
To Thrive in This Role, You Will Need:
Familiar with conducting field tours, using BIM tools, and delivering clear, actionable reports
Ability to read and interpret construction documents and technical reports
Experience leading preconstruction meetings and performing scheduled site inspections
Skilled in working with client QA teams and guiding on-site inspectors to ensure compliance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
Organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks and follow through
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
