OPEN-RANK SCIENTIST POSITION
The Center for Neuroscience & Neurological Recovery at Methodist Rehabilitation in Jackson, Mississippi, invites applications for a full-time, open-rank scientist position within an established neurorehabilitation research program focused on recovery after stroke and spinal cord injury.
Established investigators and early-career scientists are encouraged to apply.
The position is supported by the Wilson Research Foundation, affiliated with Methodist Rehabilitation. Opportunities for academic affiliation with the University of Mississippi Medical Center are also available.
Research Areas- Neurophysiology and mechanisms of recovery
- Clinical movement science
- Brain and spinal cord neuromodulation
- Rehabilitation technologies and robotics
- Translational neurorehabilitation research
- Complementary areas of expertise
- Doctoral degree (PhD, PT/PhD, or equivalent)
- Demonstrated scholarly productivity
- Experience in clinical or translational research
- Demonstrated success or strong potential in securing external funding
- Eligibility to work in the United States

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop an independent research program through collaboration with scientists, physicians, therapists, engineers, and trainees.
