Job Summary

We are hiring immediately for full‑time dishwasher positions at Baptist Medical Center located in Jackson, MS (1225 North State Street). The role is full‑time with a flexible schedule that may include AM and PM shifts. Previous dishwashing experience is preferred but not required. We offer training and a fixed pay rate of $12.75 per hour
.

• Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes, wash them by hand or place them in racks or on a conveyor to a dishwashing machine according to the assigned equipment, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Wash pots, pans and trays based on assigned procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Polish silver using burnishing machine, tumbler, chemical dip, buffing wheel and hand cloth depending on assigned equipment and procedures, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures.
• Maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
• Keep the dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Wash work tables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Remove trash and place it in designated containers; steam clean or hose out garbage cans.
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Help load and unload supplies and product.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
