This is a beautiful senior living community that provides a variety of high‑quality living experiences that meet the needs of its residents, from independent‑living and assisted‑living to skilled nursing and memory care.

Position

Summary

Servers are responsible for setting up the dining area and trays for meal services, adhering to food safety guidelines and following dietary restrictions based on residents' needs. Servers assist the cook in the preparation and service of meals, meeting scheduled mealtimes, following established policies and procedures within the dietary department to ensure residents receive the highest quality of service.

Essential Job Functions
  • Assist cook/supervisor with food preparation and service using specific procedures, following guidelines, and regulations.
  • Deliver residents’ meal carts, set and clean assigned dining area(s) to serve residents.
  • Accurately record temperatures on refrigerators; clean and stock as needed.
  • Wash and store dishes; adhere to overall sanitation and maintenance of the kitchen.
  • Knowledgeable of Federal, State, and Community rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications
  • 1 year food service preferred.
  • Fluent in English including reading, writing and speaking.
  • Ability to communicate clearly to all levels within the community.
  • Desire and commitment to work with geriatric residents understanding their special needs.
  • Must be able to follow directions and follow through on assignments.
  • Ability to work with others as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi‑task and prioritize.
  • Serv Safe is desirable.
Education Requirement

High school diploma or GED degree.

  • Willingness to learn.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Team player.
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Compensation

$15.80 an hour.
